Flake Introduces No Fly, No Buy Bill

Senator Jeff Flake is backing a bipartisan proposal that would keep people on the No Fly List from purchasing guns.

The Arizona Republican called it common sense that someone who is considered a threat to national security should not be allowed to purchase a firearm.

The legislation would give the Attorney General the authority to deny sales of firearms to anyone appearing on the No Fly List or the Selectee List.

Flake pointed out the bill allows any American on either list to have the right to have their case heard before a federal judge.

Flake was a co-sponsor of the original bill in 2016.
