Former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice explained on “The View” that she supports the Second Amendment because her father used guns to protect her neighborhood from the KKK.
She told a story that is very familiar to Americans of African descent who grew up in the deep south before the civil rights era blacks could not count on protection from the police.
“So when White Knight Riders would come through our neighborhood, my father and his friends would take their guns and they’d go to the head of the neighborhood, it’s a little cul-de-sac and they would fire in the air, if anybody came through,” Rice explained.
“I don’t think they actually ever hit anybody. But they protected the neighborhood. And I’m sure if Bull Connor had known where those guns were he would have rounded them up,” she continued. “And so, I don’t favor some things like gun registration.”
This is what happens when adults show up to the argument. It's a damn shame that government run schools don’t teach this Black History to todays snow flakes.
