The Scottsdale Unified School Board may start handing out pink slips. The board has voted to get rid of Superintendent Denise Birdwell and Chief Operating Officer Louis Hartwell.
Officials said last night if they don't request a hearing, they will be fired. The two have been on leave the past couple of weeks and law enforcement officials have been investigating district finances, bidding practices and potential conflicts of interest.
If the two are canned, it's unclear who may step up and take their place.
