Woman Accused Of Stealing Purses In Grocery Stores

Police say a woman made eight-thousand-dollars in six months after allegedly stealing purses from grocery store customers.  Scottsdale Police say they've been receiving reports of stolen purses since September.

Surveillance video led authorities to identify 58-year-old Debbie Jean Lackey as the suspect.  Police say they have linked 15 purse thefts from grocery store customers in Scottsdale to Lackey.

Authorities say she has an extensive 30-year criminal history with at least ten felony convictions in California.

Other jurisdictions are investigating to see if Lackey is linked to any other purse thefts around the valley.
