Arizona teachers are trying once again to meet with Governor Doug Ducey. Representatives with Arizona Education Association and Arizona Educators United sent a letter to the Governor yesterday asking for "honest negotiations" to address what they call an education funding crisis.
This is the second letter signed, sealed and delivered to the Governor. Teachers maintain Arizona schools are over one-billion-dollars below 2008 funding levels.
Teachers statewide are continuing to vote today on whether or not to strike. The Governor has promised 20 percent raises by 2020.
