Governor Heading To Border With Homeland Secretary

The U.S. Homeland Security Secretary and the Governor of Arizona are heading to the border.  The two are scheduled to be in Yuma this afternoon to oversee the deployment of National Guard troops on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Governor Doug Ducey will also tour the border wall in the area before making comments to the press at a commercial port of entry.

Ducey has ordered hundreds of troops to the border as part of the Trump Administration's plan to combat illegal border crossings, which Ducey calls a matter of public safety.
