North Korea to Stop Nuclear Testing

(Seoul)  --  North Korean leader Kim Jong Un says he'll suspend nuclear weapons tests and ballistic missile tests.  The news from the North Korean state news agency says tests and launches will be suspended as of tomorrow.  South Korean media says there's now a telephone line linking the leaders of South Korea and North Korea, and they're due to meet next week.  Tensions between the two countries have eased in recent months, though they're still technically at war since there was no peace treaty to end the Korean War.  President Trump has expressed hope that he'd like to meet Kim Jong Un if such a meeting would help create a peaceful Korean peninsula free of nuclear weapons.
