Excessive Heat Warning For Sunday

NWS Heat Graphic

(Phoenix, AZ) Phoenix is getting its first excessive heat warning of the year.  The National Weather Service says on Sunday the temperature could reach between 105 and 109 in the valley.  The warning will be in effect from 10 am to 8 pm on Sunday.  The Maricopa County Department of Public Health says there's a risk of people developing heat related illnesses.  You can protect yourself by exercising outside only in the coolest parts of the day, drinking plenty of water, and spending plenty of time in air conditioning. The CDC says more people die every year from heat than from all other natural disasters combined.
