(Phoenix, AZ) -- Governor Doug Ducey is signing a bill allowing industrial hemp. The bill allows universities and those with a license from the Arizona Department of Agriculture to begin cultivating industrial hemp, which is the fiber form of cannabis. The hemp would be required to remain below point-three-percent THC. Harvested hemp is produced into a wide range of products including building materials, food, paper and textiles. At least 34 states have passed legislation related to industrial hemp.
