Arizona lawmakers may be tapping a new source of revenue. The Supreme Court this morning struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act. The law prohibited sports betting outside of Nevada.
The ruling is a win for state's rights and could lead to many states, including Arizona, to set up sports books to expand legalize betting on college and professional sports as a source of revenue.
Monday's ruling is expected to spur Congress into action to pass federal regulations of sports betting to avoid separate rules from state to state.
