Bush Highway safety improvements are benefiting drivers but endangering wild horses. The Salt River Horse Management Group says in the last week several horses have been hit and killed by cars and others are being trapped by guardrails. Now the Maricopa County Department of Transportation is erecting new message boards, painted signs on the asphalt and rumble strips all in an effort to make motorists aware they should "watch for horses".
