(Phoenix, AZ) -- Uber is slowing self-driving operations in Arizona. The ride-sharing giant released a statement today saying the company is winding down the program, but it will return in the near future. The move comes after a woman was hit and killed by a self-driving car in Tempe this past March. Hundreds of people involved in the program in the state will be laid off, but reportedly get career counseling from the company.
