city of las vegas bans capital letters to support hockey team

you wouldn't think a city would try and ban all capital letters, but when it comes to hyping up the fans for the stanley cup and your team is in the finals, you do what you have to do.

the city of las vegas says they're 'banning' capital letters in the run up to the finals in support of the golden knights in an effort to push back against their stanley cup rivals, the Washington Capitals and their rallying cry of #ALLCAPS.

tweets from the city's official account have all been in lower case since the the championship-level hype for the golden knights began.

and it seems that residents in America's playground have gotten in on the fun. mgm resorts tweeted out the names of their casinos in all lower-case in support of the vegas hockey team's push to beat the Washington Capitals and the mayor of last vegas, carolyn g. goodman, says their city is going #nocaps for the stanley cup finals.

that’s right #nocaps. we are ready to take on @capitals for the #stanleycup! @goldenknights have been looking good in practice i am told. #goknightsgo!
