Arizona's solar industry is still optimistic despite dire predictions the industry would suffer from President Trump's steep tariffs imposed on solar panel imports.
Arizona still lags behind other states as a leading solar competitor. The Solar Energy Industries Association says part of the reason for that is because APS and SRP both have changed how they charge solar customers.
Nevertheless, with solar cheaper than coal and tax credits that are still in place, the industry is still primed for growth here and elsewhere.
