The Valley Is A Disease Hot Spot

A study by the Public Library of Science Journal says Phoenix joins Seattle, Salt Lake City, Houston, Detriot and a few other cities as hot spot for disease outbreaks.  That's because more kids are not being vaccinated in the Valley for either religious or philosophical reasons.

The Valley is one of 15 areas in the country where more than 500 kindergarden aged kids are not being vaccinated.

With so many non-medical exemptions, there is an increase of kids that are not protected against the measles, mumps and rubella.
