(Phoenix, AZ) -- Senator John McCain says President Trump must confront Vladimir Putin or cancel Monday's Helsinki summit with the Russian president. In a statement today, the Arizona Republican noted the indictments of a dozen Russian intelligence agents for trying to influence the 2016 presidential election. He said Trump must tell Putin that there will be a serious price to pay for his ongoing aggression toward the U.S. If not, McCain said the summit should be canceled. McCain chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee. He is battling brain cancer at his home in Arizona.
