ASU Rugby Player Sentenced For On Field Attack

A former ASU rugby player will spend one day in jail and three years on probation for an on field attack. Christopher Crawford was sentenced in a Phoenix courtroom after he plead guilty to aggravated assault in April.

In February 2017, during a match between ASU and the University of Arizona, Crawford kicked an opposing player in the face as the player was kneeling down to tie his shoe.  The victim was knocked unconscious and had to undergo facial reconstruction surgery for his injuries.
