(Phoenix, AZ) -- Expect big delays this afternoon if you're headed up north on I-17. There was a fatal crash this morning about seven miles north of the Sunset Point rest area, and one lane remains blocked. As of about 1:30, ADOT was reporting a 20 mile backup from Black Canyon City up to Sunset Point. Southbound lanes are unaffected. You can get around the backup by heading north on state routes 87 or 260. That will bring you to I-17 at Camp Verde, well north of the delays.
