An escaped inmate is dead after getting shot by a cop in Phoenix. The Glendale police officer had been working with the U.S. Marshal's Task Force when the shooting happened Tuesday.
The guy reportedly escaped from the Arizona Department of Corrections in February and had been on the run ever since.
When Marshals tried contacting the man, officials say he whipped out a gun and started shooting. The officer returned fire and hit the man several times.
