Selectwoman Melissa Schlag of Haddam, Connecticut, took a knee in the wrong place and at the wrong time. She kneeled in protest of Donald Trump and in solidarity with NFL kneelers.
Big mistake.
One veteran stood up and let her have it during a council meeting. “You ran as a Democrat, but once you became elected, you have to represent all of your constituency.”
This is to good not to savor.
