A 29-year-old woman is facing first degree murder charges after leading police to a plastic-wrapped body in a dumpster near 24th Street and Van Buren.
Lorenda Gean Ritter is being held on a $750,000 bond. Police say Ritter told them she strangled the 18-year-old girl in her apartment. The victim is a runaway from California.
Ritter has also be charged with concealing a dead body. Police not releasing a motive in the murder.
