Clean Energy Initiative Makes November Ballot

(Phoenix, AZ)  --  The Arizona Secretary of State's Office says the Clean Energy initiative has enough valid signatures to make it onto the November ballot.  Voters will decide whether to approve a constitutional amendment requiring Arizona utilities to generate 50 percent of their power from renewable sources by the year 2020.  APS has been backing the committee Arizonans for Affordable Electricity to keep the initiative off the ballot, claiming it would raise electricity prices.
