(Phoenix, AZ) -- A soldier who died earlier this week in a helicopter crash in Iraq was a Phoenix native. The Department of Defense says 34-year-old Taylor Galvin died from injuries he sustained in the crash on Monday. The cause is still under investigation. Galvin was born in Phoenix and entered the Army as an aircraft mechanic in 2003. He graduated from flight school in 2008. Galvin was a combat veteran with nine deployments.
