(Chandler, AZ) -- The driver of a golf cart is safe after driving the wrong way on Loop 202. Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers got a few calls about the cart around 5:30 Thursday morning. The driver originally refused to stop and continued going westbound in eastbound lanes until he was boxed in by motorcycle cops. Officials say the 83-year-old male driver was confused and has mental issues. Investigators say he was stopped by officers on a different freeway last month and has been released to his wife.
