(Phoenix, AZ) -- Hundreds of people are braving the sweltering Phoenix heat waiting to pay their respects to Senator John McCain. An American flag drapes his coffin as his body lies in state in the Capitol rotunda. This morning, the Arizona National Guard Casket Team carried McCain inside as the entire McCain family was greeted and escorted in by Governor Doug Ducey and the First Lady of Arizona inside for a memorial service. Although the Capitol won't be open to members of the public for hours, the lines are already wrapped around the building as temperatures push 100-degrees. Tomorrow's memorial service at North Phoenix Baptist Church will feature multiple tributes, including a tribute from former Vice President Joe Biden.
