Did Obama bash Trump during McCain funeral?

It was Barack Obama's turn to speak at the funeral of John McCain and he quite frankly had a lot of very nice things to say about the late Senator and his former opponent during the 2008 Presidential Campaign.

However one thing caught my ear while he was making his remarks about John McCain when he said, "I never saw John treat anyone differently because of their race, religion or gender."

Did he just take a shot at President Donald Trump?

Did he just politicize John McCain's funeral?

Perhaps I am reading too much into this statement but it seems like an odd comment to make while seemingly insinuating that others HAVE treated people differently based on race, religion and gender.

Obama has been in and out of the spotlight since leaving office and has shown up to take a stand on something and then leave again presumably to work on a Netflix special or something of that nature.

As soon as I heard those statements my ears perked up as to a potential attack on President Trump during a funeral.

I do not think I am reading too much into this but if it is true it is ill-timed and out of place and proves that the Left is still baseless in their attacks against Trump.
