A man is facing charges after police say he severely beat an elderly woman. Officials believe 20-yr-old John Eaves broke into the woman's Phoenix home shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday. The 74-year old was then tied up and beaten while in her bed.
Eaves is accused of ransacking the place and stealing the woman's car but she was able to free herself and call the cops for help.
Eaves was arrested Thursday after officers spotted him behind the wheel of the woman's Mercedes Benz.
