Officer Involved Shooting At Grand Canyon

The National Park Service is looking into an officer-involved shooting early this morning on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  Officials say a park ranger and a suspect each received minor injuries and the suspect was taken to a hospital.

Few other details are available, but Grand Canyon National Park remains open and investigators say there is no safety threat to the public.

The ranger will be placed on leave while the investigation is underway.
