(Phoenix, AZ) -- ADOT is reminding used car buyers to do their homework before making a purchase. The warning follows the arrest of a Gilbert man accused of rolling back an odometer -- and claiming a van had 159-thousand miles on it when it had really been driven 303-thousand miles. ADOT's Office of Inspector General began the investigation because the buyer said she had not been given the title or registration for the vehicle. ADOT says Mikel Martinez, manager of Auto Link of Arizona, faces a number of charges, including forgery and odometer fraud.
