Yuma Sector Migrant Caravan Violence

Authorities are reporting an instance of violence allegedly related to the migrant caravans closing in on the U.S.-Mexico border.  Border Patrol agents say a 31-year-old Honduran man threw rocks at them on Friday when agents tried to arrest him east of the Andrade, California port of entry.

The man climbed a tree, set it on fire and then began throwing rocks at the agents and a CBP helicopter hovering above him.  Neither the agents nor the helicopter were struck.

The man, who claimed to be part of the migrant caravans, eventually came down and was arrested.  Authorities found that the man had several previous arrests in Florida and a previous deportation from the U.S. back in June.
