Beto O'Rourke had a better showing than a lot of people thought in his Senate race vs Ted Cruz.
He lost but that has not deterred him from considering a Presidential run in 2020.
His popularity has some in the party hoping that he is the next Barack Obama.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel tows the party line and simply says, "Why would we promote a loser?"
Those are some harsh words right there! You have got to give the Democrats some credit of getting behind one candidate and riding them until they lose. Once they lose though---they might as well be cannon fodder going forward. They do not see value in people that cannot win.
Beto probably has some work to do to repair losing to one of the most polarizing figures in the Senate in Ted Cruz.
But the Democrats may already be done thinking he is the next big thing for the party and just reset back to people who have won.
The Democrats are vicious!
But it is clear now that Beto O'Rourke is NOT the next Barack Obama. That is the last thing this country needs anyway!
