(Phoenix, AZ) After developing the technology for nearly a decade, Waymo, Google's self driving technology development spin-off company, is introducing a small scale ride service in the Valley. The service called Waymo One, will only be available to a few hundred riders that have been apart of the service's pilot program, for now. The service will operate in a 100-mile radius of the Valley. Waymo One plans to eventually open the service to all, once they test new features and capabilities. For now, the computer driven cars will include a human behind the wheel in case of a malfunction.
