(Washington, DC) -- Retiring Senator Jeff Flake says it has been the honor of his life to represent the people of Arizona. In a farewell address today on the Senate floor, Flake's voice broke as he thanked his staff, some who have been with him his entire 18 years in Washington. He went on to warn of serious challenges ahead. Flake said threats to our democracy from within and without are real, and that we need to confront them.
