Governor Ducey: McSally Well Be In Senate

It's Martha McSally in Arizona.  Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has named the Republican Congresswoman to replace outgoing Senator Jon Kyl.  Kyl is stepping down at the end of the month after being appointed to replace the late Senator John McCain.

The McCain seat becomes open in 2020.  McSally recently lost a close Senate contest to Democratic Congresswoman Kyrsten  Sinema in the race to replace outgoing Republican Senator Jeff Flake.

Before being elected to Congress, McSally was a military combat pilot who was deployed several times to the Middle East and Afghanistan.

When he was appointed, Kyl strongly hinted that he may only serve in the Senate until the end of the year.  Kyl and McCain worked in the Senate together from 1995 to 2013, before Kyl retired.
