MCSO Searching For Amethyst Thieves

(Phoenix, AZ)  The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is trying to find two men who broke into a remote amethyst mine and made off with a five-gallon bucket filled with 15 to 20-thousand dollars worth of amethyst.  Detective Rob Marske says the men are believed to have broken in to the Four Peaks Amethyst Mine in the Tonto National Forest and damaged the mine. Marske says the theft occurred in August but investigators are asking for the public's help now -- after a passerby stepped forward with a picture snapped of one of the men getting into a black Toyota Tundra near the scene.
