(Phoenix, AZ) -- Figures just released by the Governor's Office of Highway Safety show there were about 300 more DUI arrests statewide during the holiday period spanning from Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve, compared with a year earlier. Of the 27-hundred arrests, 533 were for extreme DUI, a number that is actually down from both 2017 and 2016. While there were more arrests, there were also hundreds more officers and deputies on the roads, who made many more traffic stops than in previous years.
