Ducey Proposes Adding Millions For Child Subsidy

Governor Doug Ducey announced he'd like to add millions of dollars in funding to Arizona's child care subsidy programs.  The Governor proposes in his budget expected to be released on Friday, to add $56-million to the subsidy program.

Fifty percent percent of the new funds would go toward increasing the average child care subsidy rate. The other half will increase the number of parents eligible to receive the subsidies.

Ducey said the money will allow more parents to work, while ensuring their children are safely and properly cared for.
