The man accused in the Hacienda Healthcare investigation has voluntarily surrendered his nursing license. A state website shows the action was taken yesterday, just a day before the Arizona State Nursing Board planned to vote on a license suspension for Nathan Sutherland.
Police say Sutherland helped care for an incapacitated patient who gave birth at Hacienda last month. He was arrested on sexual assault and vulnerable adult abuse charges after giving a DNA sample.
