(Phoenix, AZ) -- A proposed ballot measure would eliminate property taxes on the homes of Arizonans over the age of 65. A group calling itself the American Dream Act AZ will need to collect 360-valid signatures to get the initiative on the 2020 ballot. The effort's Chairman Lynn Weaver says rather than costing the state revenue, the American Dream Act AZ will help by attracting new residents who will pay income tax. She says the measure would cover everybody over the age of 65, with no income requirements.
