The inclusion of Bernie Sanders into the Democrat field for the 2020 Presidential nomination just made things a whole lot murkier.
The Democrat Party itself is in turmoil as to what identity they want to show as their public face. Do they want to be the party of socialism? Do they want to be the party of anti-Trump? Do they want to be the party of diversity at the expense of common sense?
This much is true for the Democrats in 2020--they will have to run as far left of a campaign that we have ever seen to win the nomination.
The Democrats mindset is to be the complete opposite of Donald Trump. No moderate Democrats are going to be allowed in this field!
Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Tulsi Gabbard, Amy Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren and the rest of the field are going to have to face off against Bernie Sanders to see how progressive and radically different they can be to President Trump.
Is this the best look for the party? Or will this ensure that Trump simply gets re-elected in 2020?
