Customs and Border Protection is reporting they apprehended an aggravated felon with a violent history trying to reenter the country illegally in Nogales.
Rene Munoz Renteria served five years in prison for attempted sexual assault in Phoenix. He also had convictions for kidnapping and possession of fraudulent documents.
Munoz is now in federal custody facing felony immigration prosecution.
