The Democrat Party has a true identity crisis. There are those who want the status quo to remain while others want the radical progression to not only continue but thrive and take control.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a large contingency of younger politicians make up the more radical progressive side and have not only sought out power but are simply taking it.
Will she actually be held accountable for her actions and words? Not likely. If anything we have seen Representatives Tlaib, Omar and Ocasio-Cortez say and do outlandish things and never be reprimanded. So why should they stop doing what they are doing without consequence?
Now that they have gained power they will aim to continue their influence until they overtake the Party as a whole. Politics are as they have always been for these people--a way of life and not public service.
