(Prescott, AZ) -- The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors has picked a replacement for former State Representative David Stringer. They've named former State Senate President Steve Pierce to replace the Prescott Republican on a 4 to 1 vote. Former Secretary of State Ken Bennett and Republican organizer Steven Sensmeier were also being considered. Pierce says he will fill out the rest of this term, but will not run for the Legislative District 1 seat in 2020. Stringer resigned last week after documents revealed that Baltimore police investigated him for allegedly paying two teen boys for sex in the early eighties.
