John Cleese's Advice: Control Your Own Emotions

Sometimes the funniest among us make the smartest points. Monty Python's John Cleese is making excellent points amidst COVID19. Check it out.

Cleese says, “The idea that you have to be protected from any kind of uncomfortable emotion is one I absolutely do not subscribe to. If people can’t control their own emotions, then they have to start trying to control other people’s behavior."

In his own way, Cleese is talking about mask shaming. Fear is a powerful emotion. Fear leads people to act irrationally. Fear literally changes the chemistry of the brain. Fear leads exactly to what Cleese is talking about, attempts to control other people's behavior.
