Rep. Grijalva Gets COVID, Blames Republicans.

Arizona Congressman Raul Grijalva contracted COVID19. Over the weekend he released a statement on Twitter. Read it here. There are three obvious takeaways from his statement.

Notice his attempt to be clever with who he blames.

"While I cannot blame anyone directly for this, this week has shown that there are some Members of Congress who fail to take this crisis seriously. Numerous Republican members routinely strut around the Capitol without a mask to selfishly make a political statement at the expense of their colleagues, staff, and their families."

Yes. First, he's coyly blaming Republicans for giving him COVID19. 'While I cannot blame anyone directly for this...Numerous Republican members routinely strut around the Capitol without a mask...'

Second, either Rep. Grijalva took his mask off while strutting around the Capitol or the bars around the Capitol he's known to frequent or masks themselves don't work. Which one is it?

Third, remember it's Grijalva who is making his diagnosis political by blaming Republicans for not wearing masks. He's not taking any responsibility for it whatsoever. This happens a lot with Democrats. They often claim Republicans make things political. Democrats attempt to absolve themselves from politicking. It's ridiculous. Even more ridiculous that many in the television and online media go along with that theory, Democrats are always right, Republicans are always wrong.

We know better.
