Federalism is defined as a system of Government that utilizes Democratic principles and is used by both state and national entities equally.
This means that there are national laws and state laws that act together towards in the case of the United States of America as a major factor in our representative Republic. Anyone who says we live in a Democracy is flat out wrong when in fact we use Democracy within the confines of a Republic. This is not emphasized enough in our country and needs to be repeated.
That being said the fact is the Left is freaking out about the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade which would kick it back to the states to decide what they want to do when it comes to abortion.
But that is not enough for the Left. They want the issue to be settled and want it to be codified as law of the land when the precedent is anything but settled.
Many like Amy Klobuchar cannot fathom a world where abortion is not the accepted precedent without any other interpretation.
This showcases the lack of understanding that we in this country can have a difference of opinion on this issue.
And as for those who then counter the argument by going after issues listed in the Bill of Rights...well if abortion was such a hallmark issue why was it not listed there?
