Pancakes are a classic breakfast and brunch staple for a reason. Easily customizable and hard to mess up as even the less-the-stellar options can be greatly improved with a generous dollop of syrup. Whether you prefer your flapjacks griddled on a greasy diner cooktop or beautifully curated and served with a tart compote at an artisanal shop, you're in luck because there's plenty of establishments around the state dishing out delicious stacks of pancakes.
According to a list compiled by Taste of Home, the "best pancakes" in all of Arizona can be found at Joe's Diner. This popular Phoenix eatery is located at 4515 N. 7th Avenue.
Here's what the site had to say about the fluffy stack served at this Grand Canyon State favorite:
"At a classic all-American breakfast joint like Joe's Diner, it's best to cut to the chase with their original pancakes. What more would you need than a big ball of warm butter melted on top?
