Now that the pandemic is over because we decided it was, not the government, some in positions of leadership are looking back into the past two years for lessons. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky appears to be one of those.
'Science is grey,' she says, adding, 'science is not always immediate and sometimes it takes months and years to actually find out the answer.'
Walensky also said they had too much optimism and too little caution. Obviously, they overpromised and underdelivered because they could smell their hero status. They were so close.
Until reality struck them in the face. At least they reminded us that a little humility goes a long way.
