Dr. Benjamin Powell joins The Brewmance to talk about his new book, Socialism Sucks: Two Economists Drink Their Way Through the Unfree World (Kindle version is only $12.99). He and co-author Dr. Robert Lawson traveled to some of the worst countries in the world including North Korea and Venezuela. Their conclusion is Socialism Sucks because their beer sucks. There is no competition, therefore no variety, therefore no good brews. Add that to the fact that not many people living in these countries can even afford to drink.
